David Chandler, MBA

David Chandler is the Senior Director of Payer Relations for American Association for Homecare.  David has worked to build relationships with payers across the country and assist Home Medical Equipment (HME) providers in ensuring their patients have access to quality equipment and care.  He continues to work with state and regional associations throughout the nation to find solutions and fight for regulatory and legislative change.  David has worked in the HME industry since 2003, most recently with Liberty Medical Specialties as Director of Reimbursement and Government Affairs.  He has considerable experience in sales, operations, reimbursement, payer, and government relations.  

Chandler’s service to the HME community also includes a term as President of the Atlantic Coast Medical Equipment Services Association.  He served as Chairman of the Medicare Jurisdiction C Advisory Council and was a member of AAHomecare’s Regulatory Council and State Leaders Council.  Chandler was elected to the North Carolina Board of Pharmacy/ DME Subcommittee in 2016.  Chandler also currently serves on the board for Alabama Durable Medical Equipment Association (ADMEA), Great Lakes Home Medical Services Association, Northeast Medical Equipment Providers Association (NEMEP), and Texas Medical Equipment Providers Association (TexMEP).

Bruce Gehring

Bruce Gehring is an accomplished Sales and Marketing Executive with over 16 years at Allegiance Group, focusing on business development within the Home Medical Equipment (HME) and Durable Medical Equipment (DME) Infusion and Specialty Pharmacy sectors. With 28 prior years in Finance and Hospitality, Bruce brings a wealth of experience in resolving complex marketing challenges, exploring new market opportunities, and implementing effective sales strategies. His role encompasses the development and execution of sales and marketing plans, strategic product enhancement, and overseeing the sales team. He is actively involved in creating educational content, including industry articles and webinars, to share best practices in patient engagement and revenue cycle optimization. Bruce also contributes to the industry as a member of the education committee for MAMES.

Kelly Grahovac

Kelly Grahovac serves as the General Manager for The van Halem Group where she focuses on audits, appeals, education and training across multiple lines of business and various specialties. Kelly is a known lecturer in the DME industry, speaking at national conferences, state associations, and for private events. Kelly’s past experience includes nearly 10 years at one of the nation’s leading Medicare contractors, working at the DME MAC, QIC and A/B MAC contractors. She has since brought this knowledge and experience over to The van Halem Group, where she has been working since 2013 to assist providers as they navigate the ever-changing healthcare payor landscape.

Wayne Grau

Wayne started his career in the Home Medical Equipment industry in 1990 when he went to work for Pride Mobility Products. Wayne was a regional sales manager, and he continued to be promoted and assumed new responsibilities, including legislative affairs. Wayne was promoted to Director of Rehab Industry Affairs and began working exclusively with Complex Rehab companies. He was also appointed to the National Coalition of Rehab and Assistive Technology (NCART) board of directors.

Wayne left Pride Mobility Products to work on a congressional campaign in 2008. After the campaign, he went to work for a group purchasing organization (GPO) that focused on the post-acute care industry. Wayne was asked to lead their legislative affairs efforts in Washington, DC, and at the state level.

Wayne finished his MBA in healthcare at Baylor University and assumed a new position with MK Battery in sales, marketing, and legislative affairs. After a successful period with MK Battery, Wayne was asked to lead NCART. He is excited to work exclusively with Complex Rehab Manufacturers, Providers, and the individuals we serve using CRT equipment.

Miriam Lieber is an independent consultant and trainer specializing in operations management for homecare providers.  Her extensive experience with Medicare and other third party payers has brought her national recognition in the homecare industry.  With over 20 years in the homecare field, Miriam is a featured author of many articles in the areas of operations and accounts receivable management, regulations and compliance.  Additionally, she is a nationally known speaker for many homecare trade associations.  In her consulting practice, Ms. Lieber’s clientele includes home health care companies, pharmacies, manufacturers, Medicare and other third party payers, investment firms, and hospitals.  She has worked with over 375 homecare providers. Lieber is known to have practical approaches to complex operational matters and assists her clients with the nuts and bolts of running a profitable business.

E. Dwight Osteen II is a seasoned executive with more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare and medical supply industry. He serves as the founder and CEO of Day N Night Medical Supply, a company based in Huntsville, Texas, that provides high-quality durable medical equipment to patients across Southeast Texas. Under his leadership, the organization has grown into a trusted provider, known for its customer-focused service and operational excellence. In addition to his work in medical supply, Dwight manages MEBO Farm, a secondary business focused on producing natural, bee-related wellness products. He brings a strong entrepreneurial mindset and a results-driven approach to all his ventures. Dwight is deeply committed to community service. He serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA), where he advocates for children in the foster care system, and volunteers as a Bible class teacher in his church. As of 2023, she has over 25 years of experience in the DME industry, including 20 years as an independent consultant. Stark founded MiraVista, LLC after working for the Region C DMERC, and now provides consulting, education and data analysis services to suppliers throughout the country. Stark is the former Chair of the Jurisdiction C Council and collaborates with numerous state and national associations.
